At a small club in New York City, a fitness concept is inspired by the days of childhood. Remember the days of running around on the soccer field, playing tag or capture the flag with your friends? You weren’t trying to be active and healthy, you were just having fun playing. As an adult, working out can seem like a chore. Spending hours on the treadmill or elliptical, struggling to motivate yourself, can feel like a drag. The solution: Throwback Fitness.

1000 Hills Fitness staff are similarly motivated to introduce more natural movements, more fun, and less “pushing a pen and counting to ten” style workouts for clients. Exercise doesn’t have to involve staring at a clock and counting the seconds pass.

Country clubs should consider more activities for their members that include use of the beautiful outdoors. Get your members moving!
